We met Marissa and Simon after they were recommended to us by two different past bride and grooms. From the moment we met them we knew that it was going to be such sweet wedding to be involved in.
Marissa got ready at her family home and Simon met Simon at the Church. Anne stayed with the Girls having way too much fun, chatting, taking candid photos and helping out where needed.
Simon took the grooms photos with his family and groomsmen as well as the candid interactions of the guests arriving.
Then Marissa arrived with Dad in the open top car on this perfectly sunny afternoon. Smiling from ear to ear, so excited to be getting married to her man.
Simon (Groom) nervously awaited Marissa at the end of the Aisle, so much so that he don't even notice their little flower girl coming up the behind him. He did tell me the he couldn't turn around as he know that the emotion would send him over the edge and he didn't want to be all red eyed for the rest of the ceremony.
The Ceremony was lovely, with a few laughs and lots of emotion. And then out to do the confetti walk and meet the guests. It's a funny thing, the groom has already met most of the guest before the service and so afterwards, everyone lines up to speak to the bride and give just a quick nod to the groom....
From the church, the bride and Groom wanted to have a little time to themselves to have couples photos. We'd already spoken to them about going to Mesnes Park in Wigan, just around the corner (minus the Wigan one way system) from their chosen venue two, The Royal Oak Hotel. This park has some great locations from fountains to Flower beds, long stone staircases to shutters. Even a pigeon feeding area to get some unique shots.
Then on to the Royal Oak for Speeches, Meal and Party fun. The Function room backs onto the garden at the rear of the Hotel. So this gave us space to shoot family and friends portraits as well as a lot of fun relaxed images.
